Director of Security for Miss Universe Organization As Director of Security, Mr. Newman ensured the safety of the staff, crew, talent and delegates for these three shows that traveled throughout the United States and abroad. While in other countries Mr. Newman was responsible, by contract, for training and assuming command of the law enforcement team/military personnel during the productions which last anywhere from 20-35 days. Mr. Newman also traveled with Miss Universe throughout the year as she fulfills her title.

United States Marine Corps. William spent four years in the United States Marine Corp and served two tours in Vietnam before entering the Law Enforcement profession. He has over 18 years experience as a police officer and he served as an undercover agent and chief hostage negotiator and as an agent for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
